Dichroa febrifuga ‘Blue Cap’ is known as the “Blue Evergreen Hydrangea” because it is indeed lusciously blue in flower colour, evergreen in foliage, and graceful in lacy flowers like a Lace-Cap Hydrangea.
‘Blue Cap’ is an easily grown shrub with the deep blue, fine lacy flowers in mid to late summer, and enjoys the same conditions as your other Hydrangea shrubs. Except it is evergreen and flowers at its brilliant best till very late in autumn
