Mentha x piperita f. citrata ‘Chocolate’

A low and spreading Mint with dark green, chocolate-mint flavoured leaves.
Yummy to eat and sniff (with no guilty chocolate calories).

It has a multitude of uses, including adding a chocolate zest to a healthy strawberry smoothie to start the morning.

Strawberries and chocolate go together perfectly.

But you can also finely chop fresh leaves and sprinkle over any prepared chocolate dessert or cake, or add the leaves to chocolate cake mix and line the cake tin with leaves before cooking. Both the flavours and aromas are winners.

You can even make a refreshing summer iced tea simply by pouring boiling water over leaves, then chilling.
