Campanula glomerata ‘Genti Blue’ is a newly developed, and particularly lovely member of the Clustered Bellflowers family.
‘Genti Blue’ bears vivid blue, large bellflowers in clustered heads.
With the mop heads of flowers sitting atop strong, weatherproof stems of approx. 45cm. tall.
‘Genti Blue’ is a brilliant plant for both cutting and showy garden display.
Plus, it forms a dense mat of groundcover foliage which will gently spread to a perennial clump approx. 45cm. wide.
‘Genti Blue’ can also be mass planted to create a blooming groundcover mat.
Campanula glomerata ‘Genti Blue’ is robustly frost hardy; and is rabbit resistant.
The perennial clump thrives in a wide range of soils, including clay; and can tolerate a wide range of acid to alkaline pH soils.
It is a repeat blooming perennial, and the more stems you cut – the more flower stems will be produced, in quicker time.
The flowers have a good vase life for floristry, and the stems are stout and strong.
Campanula glomerata ‘Genti Blue’ is a low maintenance plant with average garden water requirements.
Plant in full sun to partial shade.
The family of Campanulas are commonly called “Bellflowers”.
Because of their beautiful stems of showy flowers - looking like spires of bells.
They give wonderful bunches of flowers for cutting as well as a great garden show.
