Ligularia dentata ‘Pandora’
Ligularia dentata ‘Pandora’ is the perfect shade feature for smaller gardens or containers.
It has deep purple-chocolate scalloped leaves, glossy and shining as a shade feature.
Growing as a tight and compact plant and making a wonderful colour, texture and shape contrast in shaded places.
Large heads of golden yellow daisies on red stems in summer are also a bonus.
But really the glorious leaves are the prize.
Ligularia dentata ‘Pandora’ is a delight filling a pot in heavy shade.
Shining where little else will grow.
It naturally grows as a tight, compact ball of shining chocolate-purple.
Then you can even bring the feature pot indoors or onto the shaded deck as a permanent feature.
‘Pandora’ will also tolerate heavy clay soils; or places that get boggy; summer humidity and frost too.
Though it will be ever-chocolate in tropical conditions and deciduous in frosty areas.
Needs consistent moisture.
